FEATHERSTONE LIONS v NEW EARSWICK - 120909

Featherstone lions u10s opened their campaign with 8 try victory over the all blacks.
A great attitude in defence saw the young lions take full control of the game and enabled them to grow in confidence in attack.
Opponents man of the match Brandon Gill was outstanding in attack on his debut and finished the game with 4 very well taken tries.
Regan Roberts Josh Maden Ben Cusworth Oliver Thorton and Connor paver all tackled superbly with Roberts winning the top tackler award.
Alex Hamilton another debutant for the lions grew with confidence as the game went on and came up with some strong runs.
Jack Appleyard was again came up with some great tackles as did Jake Wood who had to leave the game early due to injury.
Connor Paver and Ben Cusworth both scored a try each and man of the match Patrick Harrison scored 2 and was outstanding in defence playing fullback for the 1st time
