"The young Lions fought to the end !"

The young Lions beginning to find there form, kept themselves going throughout, on a intensely hot day, to get a well deserved draw in this game against a well drilled Celtic side

This game was a keenly contested end to end game for both sides, on a sloping pitch not helping matters

With the Lions going a try down early on and also having new recruits making their debuts, they quickly bounced back, through Reiss Butterworth leading by example & dictating play, sending Ryan Butterworth on his way to slice through the defense with a great side step crashing over the whitewash to put Lions first points on the board

"Captain for the day" Harley Wilkinson putting in some great tackles out wide with his team mate Kane Tonks, along with some strong drives helped the Lions keep things going, before their opponents eventually came back through the Lions lapse in concentration in defense to go over

With the returning forward Kane Easby and the dominant Harvey Farrar doing the hard yards in the middle, setting the foundations for the lions to push on from with the "alert" Reiss Butterworth seeing a opening to go through for his 1st try converted by the consistant Zack Burke
the Lions had a purple spell before taking their foot off the peddle and conceding points letting the Dewsbury side back into the game with the Lions needing to concentrate and get their line out better for the seasons remaining games

Good passing play by duo Ryan and Reiss Butterworth sending the fast paced Tristan Parker running the gaps to find his way over from 45yds beating 3 defenders on his way, with conversion by Reiss Butterworth

With Harvey Farrar, Tristan Parker, Zach Burke and Reiss Butterworth doing some great tackles in back to back sets keeping Dewsbury out the Lions began to turn things around to their favour late on

Hard working Full back, Zach Burke being alert to the opposition quickly tapped and sent Reiss Butterworth over for his second try out wide

This was followed by "great vision of play" by Reiss Butterworth picking out second row forward Tristan Parker with a superb kick over the opponents heads for his team mate to catch in mid flow and score a brilliant try, with Reiss Butterworth converting the try also

With time running down, the Lions were on their uppers with Zach Burke weaving his way through to score a well taken try in the corner

With moments to spare the Lions held there nerve, completing their sets and working upfield, before big running forward Harvey Farrar crashed his way through 4 defenders on his way to the line whilst injuring himself in the process getting "The Magic moment" award to seal the game with a draw for the Lions
