Fullback Zach Burke had a fantastic game going the full length of the field twice to score breaking through defender after defender to clinch the man of the Match award

Featherstone Lions playing in windy conditions played well with little loss of ball against a York based New Earswick side who are also regrouping after a big loss of players

Impressive tackling with Lewis Wright and Reiss Butterworth helped the Lions dominate this game along with some creative running displays by Ryan Butterworth, Luke France and Tristan Parker gaining good ground aided by some clever switch play by young George Neilson.

New Earswick came back when the Lions took their eye off the ball and their opponents came through to score the middle

Lions quickly started into their stride with Ryan Butterworth setting the position for the Storming Zach Burke to step and Storm his way through the defenders beating four as his made his way the full length of the field to score the try of the game, taking the "magic moment" award with him, the tireless Joshue Haller scored the goal

Zache Burke again in the thick of things gave a lovely offload to the supporting Tristan Parker to crash his way through to score

After halftime with the Lions thinking they had it sown up, New Earswick came out strong scoring wide out

The Lions woke up with captain Reiss Butterworth, setting his example to score through the middle storming his way through, with conversion completed by Zach Burke

With the Lions dominating they started to use their backs with good runs by Luke France, Harley Wilkinson, Kane Tonks, Bradley Rycroft and completed with Joshue Haller going over the whitewash to score

Next turn was for the big running Tristan Parker to make his way over taking two defenders with him to score

To finish the game Zach Burke again with fresh legs bundled his way over to complete a convincing win Lions, playing as a team and for each other!
