Makeover complete!! New Pitch developed next !

Featherstone Lions "Paint for Change" day went well with over 30 volunteers giving the Lions a fresh coat of paint curtesy of "The Sun/Dulux Paint for Change" competition that we won with the aid of over 1050 votes in our favour!

Special mention goes to BARLA sponsors Utmost Insurance affinity group for bringing down a team of 8 experienced decoraters making all the difference on the day to finish the job in the time span given to us

"Eric Czerwionka" MD of Utmost Insurance said he was glad to help out such a committed club to grass roots rugby League

The club managed to get all our changing rooms done in the allocated day and with the aid of Utmost's help for a added day, along with club chairman local counciller Clive Tennant and hard working club secretary Richard Taylor and other committed members Jack Brown and Dennis Nicholson amongst many others, we also gave our Weights room a much needed lick of paint also to finish the job off.

With Featherstone Rovers help from "Blue beard" along with Rovers Stars Ian Hardman and Jon Steel helping us out.

Featherstone Lions are THE largest community group in Featherstone, serving over 240 kids on a weekly basis with the aid of volunteers who give of their time Free of charge on a weekly basis & would welcome ALL the people & business's of Featherstone and the surrounding areas to support us further with help, donations, or sponsorship to help keep this successful club going in these hard times.
