Fev 0 Walton 28
Featherstone started well in this cup clash between two well matched teams.
With Lions attacking for long periods in the first half it was Walton who came up with the first converted try leaving Lions some work to do in the second half.
Despite some excellent forward play and good ball work from the backs Featherstone failed to cross the opposition’s line, with Walton scoring freely in the last few minutes of the game.
The result didn’t reflect the attitude and commitment of Lions who can now concentrate on their next cup clash and consolidating their position in the league.
Best for Lions were man of the match Liam Kay, top tackler Scott Lapish and coaches merit Lawson Roberts.
