Lions started the new year as their coaches asked of them with a good solid team performance where they all worked for each other.
The Man of the match was shared by fullback Connor Bell who made several superb try saving tackles and ran the ball out well ,and Torin Longstaff who was inspirational in both attack and defense also scoring 2 fine tries on the way.
The non stop working  Jordan Leech tormented the Upton defense throughout racing in for 3 barnstorming tries and putting several big hits in defense.
Reece Dyas showed his power and pace to score 3 tries.
Zak Dawson made some cracking tackles against much bigger players and Callum Nester and James Simpson put in their best efforts of the season so far.
The ever consistent Connor Walker and Brad Smith, Robert England and Jack Blewitt all shone throughout in attack and defense.
Scott Ripley and Ryan Bailey were solid out wide.
Max Brown ran and tackled strongly when introduced.
Brad Sharp and Aron Cunningham were lively when introduced and Charlie Robertson went well till taking a knock.
