Featherstone lions managed to take the victory in this hard thought and entertaining division 2 encounter.
Lions coaching staff praised every player and gave the the team the mom award due to way they dug deep and worked for each other for every minute of the game.
After a basic error from the kick off lions were 4 0 down after only 1 minute of the game but rallied together and gradually got a grip with the game.
After good forward work by jordan leech callum nestor and james pugh, max brown who filled in very well at standoff collected a pass from hard working zak dawson to collect lions 1st try.
Robert England who played his best game this season went in for the next try after good work from lions inflencial hooker conner walker.
Reece Dyas was a constent threat to the celtics defence with his powerful runs and was supported well from Brown, Dawson and hard working centre ryan bailey.
Scott Ripley produced his best performance this year as did Connor Smith.
Brad Smith and Connor Walker were the top tackler but were followed clossley by england , dyas and Max Brown who finished the game with a very well worked hatrick of tries.
Arron Cunningham, brad sharp, james simpson and charlie robertson all contributed well to the game Callum Nestor kicked the only goal.
Overall featherstone proved that hard work and the willingness to work for each other is better for the team that hoping the odd individual will win the game for them
