Lions continued their fine start to the new year and ,superb teamwork was again the key to this well earned Lions victory , in this keenly contested yorkshire challenge cup game.
The coaches gave the whole team the man of the match award for their efforts.
Lions started well when Torin Longstaff charged over for a fine try after good work from forwards Brad Smith ,Max Brown ,Callum Nestor and outstanding hooker Connor Walker.
Connor Bell pulled off some fine tackles at fullback , Aron Cunningham and Scott Ripley were solid on their wings, Brad Sharp was lively at scrum half,
Reece Dyas went in from a strong run to give Lions a 8 nil lead at half time.
Lions got the start they wanted to the second half when Jordan Leech raced in from 60 yards for a superb try.
Crigglestone hit back to level at 14 all when Lions superb fighting spirit saw them respond immeadiately with Jack Blewitt going over out wide , Lions conceded a try with 10 mins left to make it 18-18 before Robert England sealed Crigglestones first home defeat of the season with a try out wide.
James Pugh made a great comeback after injury ,Connor Smith and James Simpson worked well when introduced into to the tense finish.
Blewitt added one conversion.
