Featherstone got back to winning ways with this hard thought victory over very determined opponents.
Hard working forward Jordon Leech was once again in terrific form and was rewarded when Zak dawson put him in for a well worked try.Torrin Longstaff who is improving with every game he plays broke through the defencive line to race 50 metres for his 1st try of the game which he also added the conversion.
Reece Dyas, Max Brown and Connor Walker were working nonstop in defence as were Leech and Brad Smith and thier hard work enabled the lions to dominate the early stages and score another try when Walker sccooted in from close range.
Featherstone then began to ease their work rate in defence and alloud the all blacks back into the game.
Jack Blewitt who made his 1st appereance of the season after suffering a badly broken finger was awarded the man of the match due to his gutsy display.
Torrin Longstaff followed 1 of his own kicks and reaped the rewards of a lucky bounce to score under the posts which he again added the extras.
Hard working Leech, Dyas and Brad Smith set up the feild position for Callum Nestor to barge his way over in the corner.
In the closing stages Blewitt managed to offload the ball despite 4 would be tacklers to allow Ryan Bailey an easy try in the corner.
The lions will have the chance to do the quick league double over the all blacks when they meet in the return fixture this sat with an 11.30 kick off
