The 1st match of the new season saw the Lions in top form as they beat an impressive Queensbury outfit.
This was an outstanding performance in which the whole squad should be proud of themselves. The forwards laid down the challenge with some big hits early on and continued to batter Queensbury until the final whistle. The backs defended well and took their opportunities to attack when they came. This is a good victory over a squad that boast no defeats in 2 years on their web page and sets a good platform for the forth coming season.
Man of the match was difficult to pick this as any of the 16 players could have walked away with it; however; it was awarded to Adam Gledhill for his drop gaol as well as his go forward and defensive work.
