Featherstone Lions ARLFC are delighted to announce the return of Gareth Gale, who rejoins the club ahead of the 2026 season.

Gareth enjoyed a hugely successful professional career with Featherstone Rovers, joining his hometown club from Featherstone Lions in 2020. Over the course of six outstanding seasons, Gareth established himself as a popular and prolific winger, scoring nearly 90 tries in over 120 appearances.

During his time with the Rovers, Gareth played a key role in a number of memorable moments, including lifting the 1895 Cup at Wembley, and his consistency, professionalism and finishing ability saw him rightly regarded as a club legend by supporters.

Gareth retired from the professional game at the end of the 2025 season, and we are thrilled to see him return to where his journey began. Having him back in a Lions shirt is a massive boost for the club, both on and off the field, and we are very much looking forward to seeing him pull on the Featherstone Lions jersey once again 🦁.
