  Featherstone Lions ARLFC are delighted to welcome John Davies to the club ahead of the 2026 season.

JD brings a wealth of experience to the Lions following a long and successful spell with Featherstone Rovers, where he made over 100 appearances across an eight-year period after joining in 2016. Establishing himself as a key figure in the back row, JD was renowned for his work rate, physicality and consistency at Championship level.

During his time with the Rovers, JD played an important role in several major achievements, including lifting the 1895 Cup, winning the League Leaders’ Shield, and featuring in the Million Pound Games in 2019 and 2021. His performances during these high-pressure campaigns underlined his value as a dependable and battle-hardened forward.

JD later signed for Bradford Bulls in late 2023 and has also represented Castleford Tigers, York City Knights, Batley Bulldogs, and Sheffield Eagles during his career.

His experience and leadership will provide a major boost to the Lions pack as the club continues to build towards the new season. We’re thrilled to welcome JD into a Lions jersey for 2026 and look forward to seeing the impact he will make on and off the field 🦁.
